ABOUT THE CITY

Pittsburgh, the city of bridges, metalworking, partying and sports. Home to big names such as Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and known for being the founding city of Heinz ketchup, Mr. Rogers, and Andy Warhol, it's no wonder that creatives today are always doing big things, just like their neighbors before them.

Just like it did for me, Pittsburgh draws people in from everywhere. San Diego, New York, Newark, NJ. And even from Korea. Big name movies such as Batman The Dark Knight, The Perks of being a wallflower, and Jack Reacher were shot in the city. Adding a large selection of bars, clubs, and events, stacked with sporting, musical, and theatrical events. It would be an understatement to say that Pittsburgh is on the map.

THE SOUND OF STEEL

So many talents are doing big things in the Burgh. Many of which originate from the city but many others are transplants. Either moving here because of school or in search of a better life.

A condensed melting pot, talent is pouring through the streets into the 3 rivers.

Just to name, literally, only a few of the artists and groups that are making waves in the City of Steel:

1GENO-

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he stands out among the crowd. Repping USX(Universal Scholars) he's making sure he's anything but a local rapper. Set with an eclectic style, recognizable audio presence and uplifting and energizing personality, he's sure to be the wave that others follow. Check out 30 Cameras, one of my favorites by 1Geno and Kidd Keem.

SCOZAYY THE SCHOLAR-

Born and raised in Pittsburgh like his fellow Scholar, 1Geno, Scozayy is blessed with a fire and motivation not given to many. With his talents and positive, get-it-done attitude, he's a key member to the Scholars Movement and solid enough to stand on his own 10 when needed.

KIDD KEEM- Raised in the Bronx, it's no wonder Kidd Keem has the solidarity and versatility needed to get to the top in this industry. A true city kid, now in Pittsburgh, he's teamed up with fellow Scholars 1Geno and Scozayy to take on the world. His family is his support system and USX is his second family, he can't fail.

NVSV- Raised in Baltimore, MD, NVSV relocated to Pittsburgh and have since found a family in a local studio, the Library Collaborative. Again, a person in his own lane, NVSV uses sounds and rhythms to match his own unique style, leading to one of my favorite songs, Automatic. As part of a team or on his own, NVSV is sure to blaze the charts.

CALEB CORADI- A Pittsburgh native, playing on the sound of his Italian name, Coradi, sounding like karate, is building his can base day by day. With a mix of fresh vocals and a bright outlook, Caleb is on his way to greatness. Listen to Cancun to relax or Oasis to turn up real quick.

THE LIBRARY COLLABORATIVE- Including a host of artists, producers, and other respective professionals and all around food people, this place is a breeding ground for talent. Using live and studio-recorded instruments in their music they achieve a feeling that you can't get with all digital production. The guys here revolve around nothing but perfection in their craft and hospitality, I'm proud to know the people here and we will be featuring them in a standalone post soon.

VENUES

You can catch a lot of these guys performing at venues, concerts and opening up for other acts, or even on tour.

Mainly based in the city, many of the shows for USX (including 1Geno, Scozayy, and Kidd Keem) are at The Drip Lounge on E. Warrington Ave. All I can tell you is BE THERE. You can tell just from the videos that the energy and hearing those dope songs, that's each show is unmissable.

NVSV also performs at the Drip Lounge as with his upcoming show on the 29th.

On occasion, you can attend an event at the Library Collaborative, where he's sure to make an appearance. Ethereal sounds and a great atmosphere is at each show, you'll be addicted.

As for Caleb Coradi you can find his energized shows at The Smiling Moose, The Rex Theater and bars and high schools in the area. You'll find fans singing along to his songs and him surprising you with bursts of energy. These shows will leave you wanting more.

You can find all of their music on ITunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, Spinrilla, and YouTube.

They have growing fan bases on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

All I can say is that I'm grateful to the friendships built with these people and proud of everything that they're doing. Listen to their music, keep up with their latest drops and stay tuned, #staysharp and #staygold.

Hot shoes for this summer ladies

Today we will be focusing on two of the most popular shoes that have just been blowing up all over social media. Every time this certain celebrity touches anything it instantly turns into diamonds. Whatever she wears bet you million dollars her navy is buying it up. The one and only Rihanna Fenty Puma collection .

Every since the announcement of her collaboration with Puma as well as being Puma's Creative director , the hype and anticipation has been real and for good reason. Rihanna is definitely a force to be reckoned with. With her variation of different unique styles she has blessed us with countless times. Named style icon by several top women's and men's magazines.

Needless to say girl got the eyes for style. We all get a chance to rock this unique aspects in our own personal closets. Starting with the so popular Puma creepers coming in several different colors. That will add the perfect amount of pop to any outfit. The flirty sporty look gives next level confidence for not only women but men as well. Perfect styling is pairing with any type of ripped jeans, fishnets, body con dresses, and even sun dresses. Simple and cute

And of course Rihanna got you when it comes to sandals as well. Starting with her fuzzy slides that damn there every single female on Instagram have several pairs of. Not only are they stylish but comfortable and can give a funky go lucky look to any outfit. With this she introduced her bows and jellies that came out this spring/summer.

When there is a hot style out of course comes the copy cats. Not saying that with Puma collection your not getting that high quality and of course the name brand, but you are able to find the same shoes with no direct brand for the low low.
