A solid and purely unique sound can be hard to come by these days.
Almost like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Today though, we have that needle.
NVSV, Pittsburgh based artist, is on his way to the realm of stars.
Raw sound, a diverse vernacular, NVSV delivers great energy on every track.
So who is he?
Tell us about yourself NVSV
"I'm born and raised from Baltimore, MD.
I moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 2011 where I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
I then graduated with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design.
I've been making music as a hobby ever since I was 11 (now 24), being the runt, I'm the youngest of 4 children.
I am first and foremost a recording artist, songwriter, and producer.
I don't like to label myself as a rapper.
I feel that I'm much more diverse than just making words rhyme.
I've written songs for bands like EVRTH, and artists like L K Hae and EVN.
I believe that my brand is compiled of eclectic visions. Art imitating the world."
What sparked your interest in the music industry?
"I got into it because it was fun.
I had a office job after graduation, doing what I went to college for, but I was becoming a plant.
My schedule became mundane.
Then about 2 years ago, I started to go to the studio everyday.
Like get off of my day job at 5:30 pm, straight to the studio until about 3 am.
Then I had to be up for work at 7 am.
I did this for about 5 months.
After compiling material, I went on tour and decided to pursue music full time."
What are your future plans and goals?
"In the future I don't want to be the "washed old rapper" that tries to stay relevant.
My end goal is to invest my earning into building and maintaining self sustaining communities.
I'm really trying to be off the grid..I guess we'll see how that works."
"Special thanks to Gold & Dagger,
Special thanks to Mario who actually introduced me to The Library Collaborative.
Mystic is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal and all of that other good stuff. Follow my social medias and shit!"
You heard the man follow his social media.
It's a dope and constant supply of the work and lifestyle that is apart of NVSV's brand and inspiration.
Shoutout to the man himself and all the good people at The Library Collaborative.
