Invest in Self and the Business

Like most of us young adults who are sick of working to make someone else's dreams come true it can seem difficult reaching our own dreams because we have no idea what the hell we are doing. The simplest of things aren't going to be obvious to most but that's okay. Here are a few things I've learned and aware of working with business owners.
0. It takes money to make money. Meaning yeah you can go "cheap" on trivial items. But on things that are basically need invest and spend it. Software, computers and cameras. I can't tell you how many times my laptop shut off every 2 minutes doing a write up. I saved money, looked around for deals and values. invested and bought a new computer with reliable software. Point being when it comes to big purchases it's worth to spend and having something you can depend on.
0. Build your brand. Listen in this age of social media presence will either make or break you. Like I say be yourself to a certain point. Meaning when it comes to your business your brand you need to be the best you, you can be. When a potential client comes on your social sites they don't want to see any personally drama, they should not know your life is in shambles behind the scenes. Create separate pages is necessary
0. Get rid of bad friend stock. Some advice I once got was that investors are looking at what your "liking" and who you are friends with. Which yeah that's crazy that people will judge you based on friendships but welcome to the business world. But the reality of things people don't want to know about your relationship drama, your workplace situations, your personal shortcomings. Oh and fight videos NO NO NO. When running your business this shit is Time,Money and Effort. Leave that personal shit offline.
0. Set goals for yourself. When building from the ground up shit is rough, taking small steps and knocking goals out will keep you self motivated.
0. Set goals for your business. When you make your first profit, first like, first share, someone is backing you and run with it. The business will grow when you put time and effort into it. Once you make short goals value out your long term goals. Is your business making money or losing. How will you increase income, and payouts. Plan your next power moves.
0. Funding. Friends and family even strangers who truly support you would NEVER CHEAP OUT ON YOU. Don't settle for less. I mean We would love to give discounts and help a brother or sister out. BUT. Business is business and we got to eat or ball out whatever it is don't accept anything below what you charge.
0. Phone a friend. We all aren't ballers yet so one can't simply go out and buy a Mac laptop. That's when asking for a help isn't a bad thing. Offer them something they need to get what you want.
0. Trusting helping hands. Hire dependable people who you know have their shit together and motivation to grow.
0. Have everything on print in ink. Emails and texts will keep you out of court and if court happens print speaks loud. It's protecting yourself and your brand
0. Everyone wants to be the BOSS but nobody wants to put in the work. Nothing is going to happen over night. Plant the seeds and watch it grow. All to say invest the money, spend the money, bring in profit. And the consumers will keep coming.
